The Arabian Horse

The oldest and purest of Horse breeds, this horse is considered by many enthusiasts to be the most elegant horse in the world. With its refined head and dished profile, high spirits and wonderful floating action, it is one of the most distinguished of equine animals.

The Arabian horse has influenced the development of horse breeds worldwide. Initiated in the 7th and 8th centuries AD, the followers of islam dispersed across North Africa and Spain and the horses they took with them were superuior to native stock, and thus their bloodlines continued across the centuries to present day.

Arabians are particularly suited to endurance riding, racing and are also appearing in the show ring.
